Our Story
Africans In Iowa for Empowerment also known as AIFE, is a 501 (c) (3) organization that was founded on October 30, 2014, in Des Moines, Iowa. The goal of AIFE is mainly catering to African Immigrants that are residing in the State of Iowa. The organization Board of Director leadership comprise of members from various African countries such as; Sudan, Liberia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameron, Somalia, Togo and Burundi.
Considering the need to address issues within our African community, AIFE prioritizes the need to educate people who are desiring to take advantage of the opportunities the State of Iowa has to offer. AIFE engages and interacts with youths and adults who are struggling in adopting the system and living in the USA, particularly in the State of Iowa.
